Curvature Property

Specifies the curvature of a Shape control's corners. Available at design time and run time.

Shape.Curvature[ = nCurve]

Property Values

  • nCurve
    The settings for the Curvature property are:
    Setting Description
    0 Specifies no curvature, creating square corners.
    1 through 98 Specifies progressively rounded corners. A higher number increases the curvature.
    99 Specifies maximum curvature and creates a circle or ellipse.

Example

The following example demonstrates how the Curvature property can be used with the Shape control to display a circle, ellipse, or square on a form.

A form is created, and a set of option buttons and a command button are placed on the form. When you click one of the option buttons, the corresponding shape is displayed on the form. The Height, Width, and Curvature properties of each shape determine the type of shape (circle, ellipse, or square) created. The Curvature property is set to 99 to create the circle and ellipse.
