Procedura: eseguire l'associazione a un servizio Web utilizzando il BindingSource Windows Form
Se si desidera associare un controllo Windows Form ai risultati ottenuti dalla chiamata a un servizio Web XML, è possibile utilizzare un componente BindingSource. Questa procedura è simile all'associazione di un componente BindingSource a un tipo. È necessario creare un proxy sul lato client contenente i metodi e i tipi esposti dal servizio Web. Il proxy sul lato client può essere generato dal servizio Web (ASMX) stesso o dal relativo file WSDL (Web Services Description Language). Il proxy sul lato client, inoltre, deve esporre i campi dei tipi complessi utilizzati dal servizio Web come proprietà pubbliche. Si associa quindi il BindingSource a uno dei tipi esposti nel proxy del servizio Web.
Per creare un proxy sul lato client ed eseguirne l'associazione
Creare un Windows Form nella directory desiderata con uno spazio dei nomi appropriato.
Aggiungere un componente BindingSource al form.
Aprire il prompt dei comandi di Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) e spostarsi nella directory in cui si trova il form.
Mediante lo strumento WSDL, immettere wsdl e l'URL del file ASMX o WSDL per il servizio Web, seguito dallo spazio dei nomi dell'applicazione ed eventualmente dal linguaggio attualmente utilizzato.
Nell'esempio di codice riportato di seguito viene utilizzato il servizio Web disponibile all'indirizzo http://webservices.eraserver. net/zipcoderesolver/zipcoderesolver.asmx. Ad esempio, per C# digitare wsdl http://webservices.eraserver.net.zipcoderesolver/zipcoderesolver.asmx /n:BindToWebServicee e per Visual Basic digitare wsdl http://webservices.eraserver.net.zipcoderesolver/zipcoderesolver.asmx /n:BindToWebService /language:VB. Il passaggio del percorso come argomento allo strumento WSDL genererà un proxy sul lato client nella stessa directory e nello stesso spazio dei nomi dell'applicazione, nel linguaggio specificato. Se si utilizza Visual Studio, aggiungere il file al progetto.
Selezionare un tipo nel proxy sul lato client per eseguire l'associazione.
Si tratta solitamente di un tipo restituito da un metodo offerto dal servizio Web. I campi del tipo scelto devono essere esposti come proprietà pubbliche per ragioni di associazione.
