About the MetadataPicture Object
[The feature associated with this page, Windows Media Player SDK, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer. MediaPlayer has been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer instead of Windows Media Player SDK, when possible. The WM/Picture metadata attribute provides detailed information about metadata images, such as album art. The MetadataPicture object provides a way to retrieve the individual data related to the image. You might think of the WM/Picture metadata attribute as a compound attribute. When you use Media.getItemInfoByType to retrieve information about a metadata image, you retrieve a MetadataPicture object that has properties which contain the individual data.
