PortQry Examples

Example 1: PortQry Default Behavior

To see the results of PortQry executed in its simplest form, type:

portqry /n 10.193.36.210

This command instructs PortQry to query TCP port 80, and determine whether it is listening on the target host (in this case 10.193.36.210).

PortQry displays results similar to the following output:

Querying target system called:

 10.193.36.210

Attempting to resolve IP address to a name...

IP address resolved to MYSERVER


TCP port 80 (http service): LISTENING

Example 2: Querying RPC Ports

To see the results of PortQry executed on an RPC port, type:

portqry /n 10.193.36.210 /p udp /e 135

PortQry displays results similar to the following output:

 10.193.36.210

Attempting to resolve IP address to a name...

IP address resolved to RKTLABDC2

Example 3: Querying an LDAP Port

To see the results of PortQry executed on an LDAP port, type:
