Disable the User Configuration settings in a Group Policy object
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2
To disable the User Configuration settings in a Group Policy object
Open the Group Policy object that you want to edit.
In the console tree, right-click the icon or name of the Group Policy object, and then click Properties.
On the General tab, select the Disable User Configuration settings check box, and then click OK.
Notes
To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the Domain Administrators security group, the Enterprise Administrators security group, or the Group Policy Creator Owners security group.

When you disable the User Configuration settings in a Group Policy object, they no longer affect any site, domain, or organizational unit to which this Group Policy object is linked.
