Understand the scope and sequence of secondary lessons

Minecraft Education’s secondary computer science curriculum focuses on programming; as learners investigate coding concepts through the text-based programming language, Python.

I love teaching, coding skills, and coding; but I've never found a platform that I liked better than Minecraft Education. When students code in Minecraft, they create code that they care about and they see it implemented right away in their world. Students walk their players around in their games with their code that they executed occurring all around them. Because students are expressing their own voice in a world that is meaningful to them we see student agency and a sense of ownership in their programming. This isn't just writing to a screen or paper. This is meaningful and relevant to them.
