Dispositivo del pulsante ACPI

Il dispositivo pulsante generico è un dispositivo standard per la segnalazione di eventi pulsante tramite interrupt hardware e il mapping di tali interrupt a utilizzi specifici definiti nella specifica Human Interface Device (HID).

Per esprimere la funzionalità di un pulsante al sistema operativo, sono necessarie due informazioni:

• Utilizzo del controllo HID
• Utilizzo della raccolta HID alla quale appartiene il controllo

Un utilizzo è la combinazione di una pagina d'uso e di un ID di utilizzo. Ad esempio, il pulsante Volume Up viene identificato come Aumenta Volume (Pagina Utilizzo 0x0C, ID Utilizzo 0xE9) nella collezione di controllo consumer (Pagina Utilizzo 0x0C, ID Utilizzo 0x01).

L'ID dispositivo ACPI di un dispositivo pulsante generico è ACPI0011. Windows carica il driver in-box fornito da Microsoft, Hidinterrupt.sys per tale dispositivo.
