SQL Server 2005 Integration Services를 DB Server와 별도의 서버에 설치하려 하는 경우 라이선스는 어떻게 될까요?

BUSINESS INTElLIGENCE / components in additional servers

The Business Intelligence components for SQL Server 2005 include Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and Integration Services. To use any of these components, the server on which Business Intelligence is installed must have a valid SQL Server 2005 license. If these components are in a separate server than the main database server, then they require an additional license of each additional server where they are installed.

In Scenario 1, a SQL Server is running with all of its components in one server: only one license is required.

In Scenario 2, the database is running in one server, analysis services in a second one, and reporting services in a third one. In this case, three server licenses are required.

SQL Server 2005는 Business Intelligence 구성요소로서 Analysis Services, Reporting Services, Integration Services를 포함하고 있습니다. BI 구성요소를 사용하려면 BI 구성요소가 설치된 서버는 반드시 적법한 SQL Server 2005 라이선스가 필요합니다.  BI 구성 요소가 DB 서버가 아닌 별도 서버에 설치되어 있다면 각각 Install된 서버 별로 추가적인 라이선스가 요구됩니다.

위 그림의 시나리오 1과 같이 서버 한대에 SQL DB엔진 및 모든 BI 구성요소들이 설치되어 있는 경우 하나의 라이선스가 필요하지만 시나리오 2에서와 같이 DB서버 및 각 BI 구성요소가 별도 서버에 설치되어 있다면 각 서버 별로 라이선스가 필요합니다.
