Production flows (form)

Click Production control > Setup > Lean manufacturing > Production flows.
Use this form to create and configure a production flow to define a production process. After you create a production flow, you can create one or more versions of the production flow.

New |
Create a new production flow. |
Delete |
Delete the selected production flow or production flows. You can only delete a production flow if there is no active version. When you delete a production flow, the related expired versions, activities, activity relations, kanban flows, kanban rules, kanban cards, and kanban jobs are also deleted. |
Cycle time history |
Open the Cycle time history form to view the past cycle times that are recorded for the selected production flow. |
Costing |
View transactions that are related to the selected production flow. You can select from the following options:

Name |
The identifying name of the production flow. |
Description |
The description of the production flow. |
Production group |
The identification of the production group that the production flow is assigned to. The production group controls how costs are calculated and posted. |
Operating unit |
Select the operating unit that the production flow is assigned to. The operating unit is used when transaction costs are posted to the financial dimensions that are related to the production flow. The operating units that are shown in the look-up form are filtered by the type, Value stream. After the production flow is created, you cannot change the value in this field. |

Active version tab
The information about the takt time performance of the production flow version that is currently activated.

Cycle time unit |
The unit of measure that is used with the takt time and cycle time of the active production flow version. |
Deviation |
The difference between the average cycle time and the actual cycle time. |
Average cycle time |
Enter a time to use as a target cycle time for the production flow version. You can compare the target time that you set to the actual cycle time that is calculated. |
Actual cycle time |
View the cycle time that is calculated for the active production flow version. actual cycle time = working hours of the cycle time period / quantity produced in the cycle time period |

The versions, both activated and not activated, that are created for the selected production flow.

Open the Create new production flow version form to add a new production flow version. You can create one or more versions for a production flow. When you create multiple versions, the form opens in a mode that enables you to copy from an existing version.

Delete the selected production flow version. You can only delete a production flow version that is not activated. |

Open the Production flow version details form to view information about the selected production flow version. |
Validate |
Open the Validate production flow form to validate (but not activate) the selected production flow version. |
Activate |
Open the Activate production flow form to validate and activate the selected production flow version. |
Deactivate |
Open the Deactivate production flow form to deactivate the selected production flow version. |
Recalculate |
Open the Recalculate takt times form to recalculate the cycle times for the activities of the production flow version. |
Activities |
Open the Production flow activities form to view and change the production flow activities that are used in the selected production flow version. |

Effective date |
The date when the production flow version is effective. |
Expiration date |
The date when the production flow version expires. |

The status of the production flow version. The options are as follows:
