Warehouse items (form)

Click Product information management > Common > Released products. On the Action Pane, click the Manage inventory tab. In the Warehouse group, click Warehouse items.
Use this form to set up warehouse items. You set up a warehouse item by associating products and product variants with a specific warehouse, a counting group, and location information.
Tip
To associate a product variant with a warehouse, you specify the product dimensions that define the product variant. You then associate the dimension combination with a warehouse.

View a list of items that are stored at a specific warehouse and the counting group that is associated with the items. You can also create, modify, or delete the items that are associated with the warehouse. |

View or modify the counting information and the inventory dimensions for the selected item. |

Fields

Item number |
The unique, user-defined code that is assigned when the product is defined. |
Configuration |
Enter an item configuration to specify an item that has specific characteristics. |
Size |
Enter the size of the item. |
Color |
Enter the color of the item. |
Site |
Enter the site in which you store the item. |
Warehouse |
Enter the warehouse in which you store the item. |
Batch number |
The batch number dimension of the item. |
Location |
The location inside a warehouse where the item is stored. |
Pallet ID |
The unique identifier for the pallet. |
Serial number |
The serial number dimension. |
Counting group |
Select a counting group. Counting groups are created in the Counting groups form. |
Counting started |
If this check box is selected, an item count has been started. The actual count is started from an inventory count journal. |
Counting journal |
The journal that is used for inventory counting. |
Store zone |
A specified area in the warehouse. |
Default receipt location |
The default location that is proposed for inventory receipts on transaction lines, such as purchase lines and production lines. |
Default issue location |
The default location that is proposed for inventory issues on transaction lines, such as sales lines and production lines. |
Use consolidated picking method |
Specify the consolidated picking method to use to combine multiple orders into one picking list. Select one of the following options:

Picking location |
The identifier of the picking location. The name of the picking location is based on the location name that is specified on the Location names FastTab in the Warehouses form. |
Required minimum |
Specify the minimum quantity that must be available at the picking location. |
Max. storage capacity |
The maximum storage capacity of the picking location. If this field is blank, there is no maximum capacity. |
Use empty pallet location |
Specify how empty pallets are handled. Select one of the following options:
