Date Compression Field, Analysis View Table
Specifies the length of the period whose entries will be combined. By using date compression, you specify the level of detail for an analysis view. For example, if you want to analyze financial information for an analysis view on a monthly basis, you can use date compression to sum all entries in a given month and create one single entry for the entire month.
The program assigns the date of the first day in the period to the period as a whole. However, closing entries will be given the date of the last posted entry in that period.
Choose the field to see the options for date compression.
