3rd-Party Loader Field, Shipment Method Table

Specifies if the items are loaded by an external party when this shipment method is used.

Additional Information

You can specify multiple shipment methods. If your company has shipments where the loading of the goods is handled by a third-party and not by yourself or your customer or vendor, then you must create a separate shipment method with the 3rd-Party Loader field selected. When you apply this shipment method to a document such as a sales order, you must enter information in the 3rd Party Loader Type and 3rd Party Loader No. fields. This information is printed on the shipment document so that you can track all parties that are involved in a transport.

If this field is not selected, the items are loaded by your company or the customer or vendor.

Important

This field is available in the Shipment Methods window, but it is not shown by default. To select the field, you must first add the column that shows this field. For more information, see Personalize the User Interface.
