Invoice Message Field, Gen. Journal Line Table
Specifies an invoice message for the general journal.
A free-form message can be any message of up to 70 characters. A long message can be any message of up to 420 characters. You can extend a long message to the Invoice Message field, when the first field becomes full. A tax message contains both a reference number and information on the tax being paid. When you use a tax message, enter the reference number in this field and information about the levies paid in the Invoice Message field (up to 250 characters).
In the sales journal, you must enter the reference number manually.
