Get Recovery Point

The Get Recovery Point activity is used to configure a runbook that queries a data source for all its associated recovery points or only the most recent recovery point.

Configuring the Get Recovery Point Activity
To configure the Get Recovery Point activity
From the Activities window, drag a Get Recovery Point activity to the active runbook. Double-click the Get Recovery Point activity icon.
On the Properties tab, click the ellipsis button (...), and select the Name of the Data Protection Manager computer that you want to use for this activity.
In the Properties section, enter the Selection and the Data Source ID for the recovery point you want to retrieve. Or, to automatically populate the value from the data published by any previous activity in the runbook, right-click the property box, point to Subscribe, and then click Published data. Click the published data element you want to use, and then click OK.
If you want to limit the search, click the Filters tab. In the Filters section, click Add. In the Name box, click the down arrow and select an item from the list that you want to use to define this runbook.
In the Relation box, click the down arrow and select a relationship descriptor for the filter.
In the Value box, click the ellipsis button (...) and select a value to be applied to this filter. If the ellipsis button does not appear for the filter you have selected, enter the value you want to use, and then click OK.
If applicable, to automatically populate the value for a filter from the data published by any previous activity in the runbook, right-click the Value box, point to Subscribe, and then click Published data. Click the published data element you want to use, and then click OK.
Add additional filters as needed.
To make changes to a filter, click the filter and then click Edit. Make the necessary changes, and then click OK. To remove a filter, click the filter, and then click Remove.

Click Finish.
