Supported Operating Systems
The tables in this section outline the supported operating systems, by operating system version, for each MOM 2005 SP1 component. There are two tables for each operating system version; each table outlines support for a different set of MOM components.
Note
There are known issues related to running MOM components on a 64-bit computer. The MOM 2005 Web console and MOM Connector Framework (MCF) require ASP.NET 1.1, which is a 32-bit application. Even if ASP.NET 1.1 is installed on a 64-bit computer, you must configure IIS 6.0 to run in 32-bit mode.
IIS 6.0 supports both 32-bit mode and 64-bit mode. However, IIS 6.0 does not support running both modes at the same time on a 64-bit version of Windows.

Important
In order to support agentless monitoring of a Windows NT 4.0 computer, WMI 1.5 must be installed on the Windows NT 4.0 computer.

Important
Installing MOM 2005 SP1 On A Domain Controller - You can install any MOM component on a Domain Controller with the following restrictions:
The MOM database and MOM Reporting Database must be on the same computers.
If the Management Server is on a Domain Controller, you cannot have another Management Server in that management group.
Product Connectors must be configured using the steps described in "Using the MCF or MMPC on a Domain Controller" section of the MOM 2005 Deployment Guide.
