The following table shows the NDIS messages with a description of the purpose of each.
| Programming element | Description |

| NDIS_TAPI_EVENT | This message is sent to report spontaneously occurring events on the line or on a call on an established line to Telephony API (TAPI) through NDISWAN. |
| NDIS_WAN_LINE_DOWN | This message is sent to indicate a line-down status. |
| NDIS_WAN_LINE_UP | This message is sent to report spontaneously occurring events on the line or on a call on an established line to Telephony API (TAPI) through NDISWAN. |
