Initiates an update on the host storage cache to reflect the current status of storage.

Detailed Description
The Update-HostStorageCache cmdlet initiates an update on the host storage cache to reflect the current status of storage. This is equivalent to a VDS Rescan, in that it will re-enumerate Disk, Partition, and Volume objects.
