Math.Min Method (Decimal, Decimal)

Microsoft Silverlight will reach end of support after October 2021. Learn more.

Returns the smaller of two decimal numbers.

Namespace:  System
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Shared Function Min ( _
    val1 As Decimal, _
    val2 As Decimal _
) As Decimal
public static decimal Min(
    decimal val1,
    decimal val2
)

Parameters

Return Value

Type: System.Decimal
Parameter val1 or val2, whichever is smaller.

Examples

The following example demonstrates how to use the Min method to return and display the smaller of two Decimal variables.
