IPEndPoint Constructor (Int64, Int32)

Initializes a new instance of the IPEndPoint class with the specified IP address and port number.

Syntax

Parameters

  • address
    Type: System.Int64
    The long value of the IP address for the internet host. For example, the value 0x2414188f in big-endian format would be the IP address "143.24.20.36".
  • port
    Type: System.Int32
    The port number associated with the address, or 0 to specify any available port. port is in host order.

Exceptions

Exception Condition
ArgumentOutOfRangeException

port is less than MinPort.

port is greater than MaxPort.

-or-

address is out of range for an IPv4 address.

Remarks

The IPEndPoint(Int64, Int32) constructor can only be used to initialize an IPv4 address, since the size of the Int64 is not large enough for an IPv6 address.
