Many sales organizations customize their CRM to meet their business needs. Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales is preconfigured to work with contact, opportunity, and account records. The admin experiences allow for sales organizations to define what matters to them, helping to ensure that their sales teams have the necessary CRM data accessible to them.

CRM customizations

Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales supports all relevant out-of-the-box and custom entities in CRM. It allows organizations to set up and prioritize the records that are important to their businesses' success, including marking records as editable and fields as mandatory to ensure ease of access and quality of data entry. Copilot AI controls

Admins also have a various controls at their disposal to control the enablement and disablement of the generative AI capabilities provided to sellers with Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales. They can toggle email summary, opportunity summary or content suggestions on or off at either the environment, tenant or security group levels. Wherein security groups refers to the security groups that the admin might set up in Microsoft Entra ID (previously referred to as Azure Active Directory).
