Hey there!
Nice to meet you! I'm Darhyl, an Independent Advisor.
Just to confirm, do you mean you're being asked for parental consent even though your account is not added to any Microsoft family?
If yes, this means that the system has detected that your account is a child account.
To fix this, kindly create a new Microsoft adult account with a new email address on account.microsoft.com
Note: Ensure that the adult account's birthdate is registered as 22 years old or older.
Once you're done using your newly created adult account, add the child account (your main account) to your Microsoft family as a "family member" by signing your adult account on account.microsoft.com > Family tab.
Note: It is important that the adult account is the "Organizer" and the child account is the "Family member" to make this work.
Once you're done, you can manage your main/child account's Xbox Settings using your adult account by following the instructions through this link: https://support.xbox.com/help/family-online-saf....
You can also manage your parental consent by signing into your adult account on https://account.microsoft.com/family/home?ref=x...
Then click on your child/main account > then select "Settings/Manage"
As for refunds, the only way to request a refund is by signing into your Xbox account where you have purchased the game and following the instructions through the Xbox Refund Webform: https://support.xbox.com/help/subscriptions-bil...
Thank you for your kindness and understanding! Please let me know if you need anything else.
Best regards,
Darhyl
