Based on your description and if you are referring to a Microsoft 365 subscription, you can confirm if the subscription is active by signing into your account on account.microsoft.com > going to Subscriptions > and checking if Microsoft 365 is active.
You can also confirm your payment history on account.microsoft.com > Order History > Select the date range when you purchased/renewed your subscription.
