I hope you are doing well!. I'm Jhun, an independent advisor. Sorry to hear that your having a problem with this. Please let me assist you. This continuing "internal error" message usually points to a system or account-related interuption. Let’s try some steps to fix this
- Check microsoft account verification
-Go to microsoft and sign in to your account.
-Under Security, make sure your identity is verified.
-If you see a "Verify" button, click it and follow the instructions this usually can be verified thru email or a phone text code.
- Synchronize your acount on Windows
-Go to Settings then click Accounts then Your Info.
-See if your Microsoft account is listed and prompts as “Signed in”.
-Scroll down and click “Sync your settings” — toggle it off, then back on.
-Then restart your PC.
- CLEAR CREDENTIAL MANAGER
At some instances an old or corrupted credentials interfere with encryption.
- Open Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager.
-Under Windows Credentials, remove any entries related to your Microsoft account or encryption features.
-Restart the PC and sign in again.
- Check policy group (for Pro and Enterprise only).
-Press WIN+R, type gpedit.msc, and Enter.
-Navigate to:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > BitLocker Drive Encryption
-Make sure policies like “Control use of BitLocker on removable drives” are set to "Not Configured".
- Enable TPM and Secure boot
-Restart your PC and go to your BIOS/UEFI settings (accessing it may vary depending on your mother board brand and model but this is usually by pressing "F2", "Del" or Esc during boot stage.
-Make sure TPM (Trusted Platform Module) is enabled.
-Enable Secure Boot as well.
-Save changes and exit BIOS.
