Hello Sanghee,
Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue with OneDrive not recognizing your additional storage after renewing your Microsoft 365 subscription. I understand how inconveniencing this can be, especially when you're using both the 1 TB provided by Microsoft 365 and an additional 1 TB of local storage on your laptop.
Here are some recommended steps to resolve the issue:
1: Verify Your Account
- Visit account.microsoft.com/services and confirm that your Microsoft 365 subscription is active under the correct account.
- Ensure you're using the same account to sign into OneDrive.
2: Unlink and Re-Link OneDrive
- Right-click the OneDrive icon in your system tray.
- Go to Settings > Account and click Unlink this PC.
- Close OneDrive completely.
- Reopen OneDrive and sign in again with your Microsoft 365 credentials.
- Wait for the initial sync to complete.
3: Force a Storage Refresh
- Go to https://onedrive.live.com.
- Check the lower-left corner for your storage quota.
- If it shows 1 TB online but not in the desktop app, click the quota display to trigger a refresh.
4: Reset the OneDrive Client
- Press Windows + R, type: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
- Press Enter and wait 30 seconds.
- Reopen OneDrive and sign in again.
5: Check for Sync Problems
- Right-click the OneDrive icon and select View sync problems.
- Resolve any listed issues.
- Also check your OneDrive Recycle Bin—items here still count against your quota.
