Thank you for reaching out regarding the AutoSave behavior in your OneDrive Word documents.
AutoSave is typically enabled by default when working on files stored in OneDrive or SharePoint. In most cases, the toggle for AutoSave appears in the top-left corner of the Word window, near the Save and Undo buttons. However, if you're not seeing this option, it may be due to the document being stored in the cloud, where AutoSave is automatically enforced and the toggle hidden.
To work around this, you can:
1: Download the document locally from OneDrive and open it in Word. This will disable AutoSave by default.
2: Use “Save As” in Word to create a local copy on your device. This also disables AutoSave for that version.
