Hi.
I had used University of Illinois - College of business lifetime email account which had email address of "<PII Removed>@<PII Removed>.edu".
I know the university had discontinued the service and then on outlook.com, I still could login with the same ID.
The problem was all the emails sent to the address still were forwarded to my another email account because I set it up that way before the university discontinued the service, but in the Outlook.com mailbox, the emails weren't showing in my inbox.
Now when I logged in yesterday, Outlook.com made me create another alias, so I made "<PII Removed>@outlook.com", and made this address as my primary email address for the account.
Now the main problem for me is that even if I login as "<PII Removed>@outlook.com" and go to the inbox, the emails sent to this email address is not showing in the inbox, and I tried to switch the inbox account to "<PII Removed>@outlook.com", I'm automatically redirected to "outlook_<PII Removed>@outlook.com" inbox.
I assume that there was a mix up or a glitch in the server so the real "<PII Removed>@<PII Removed>.edu" is somehow active somewhere in the server so it forwards the emails sent to it, but the outlook.com can't show it on their webpage. What I want now is not reviving the "<PII Removed>@<PII Removed>.edu" account. I would like to start using "<PII Removed>@outlook.com", but the inbox page keeps redirecting me to the "outlook_<PII Removed>@outlook.com" inbox, where emails for are not showing.
Is there a way to fix it? I believe MS support engineer should look into it and fix the glitch.
