If you see a red X icon on OneDrive folders such as Desktop or Pictures, it means that the folder is not syncing and is having issues.
Right-click the OneDrive icon in the notification area (system tray) to check the detailed error message and understand why the folder is not syncing.
If the issue persists, try resetting OneDrive by following the steps in this article:
If you’re still experiencing issues, right-click the OneDrive icon in the taskbar notification area.
Select Settings > Accounts.
Unlink your account from this device.
After that, sign in again with your Microsoft account to relink it.
