Hi there!
Just to confirm, have you also tried checking via the https://onedrive.live.com webpage to see if there are no issues finding the file on the web version? If the files on your PC are completely synced, it should all show on the web as well and the problem could be on the OneDrive on your android device only.
Unlike the Windows File Explorer experience on a PC, the OneDrive mobile app may rely on indexed search results, which can sometimes be incomplete or prioritize results differently.
Here are a few things you can try in the meantime:
- Verify that the files have finished syncing
- Open the OneDrive app and allow it to complete synchronization before searching.
- If files or folders were recently added or renamed, it may take some time for the search index to update.
- Try different search keywords
- If file names contain prefixes, suffixes, numbers, or site names, try searching using a more unique part of the file name.
- The mobile app's search may not return every partial match in the same way as Windows Explorer.
- Refresh the OneDrive app
- Sign out of the OneDrive app on android, then sign back in.
- Alternatively, clear the app cache (if your device provides this option) or reinstall the app to rebuild the local cache.
- Update the OneDrive app
- Make sure you're using the latest version of OneDrive from your device's app store.
- Search from the OneDrive website
- As a comparison, sign in to OneDrive through a web browser on the tablet and perform the same search. If the website returns all expected files while the app does not, the issue is likely specific to the mobile app rather than your files.
