Never a dull moment shipping software
In the last day I’ve:
Stared at bug charts/graphs/pivot tables to see how our different feature teams are doing, sent mail to areas I was concerned about, attend some more meetings on XPS licensing to ensure we were rock solid on being as open as possible, discussed some options on how we generate excitement on the Windows Color System at Winhec 2006, reviewed some proposals for the XPS icon (hopefully we will have an icon settled on by Nov), got a flat tire fixed on my car, went over status of our inbox device support for printers and scanners, reminded people that the White Sox are in the World Series (I’m from Chicago), went over our ongoing debate over XPS viewer(s), accessibility and our Beta 2 story, scheduled time to meet with a French company that is interested in using XPS, saw my first demo of rights-managing an XPS document in a real Windows build, promised my daughter that I would absolutely make her volleyball game today.
We definitely are in ship-mode, lots of things about ’shipping’, not so much about ‘creating’.
