WE MOVED!!! See this post on our new blog for the latest on this issue.
In a previous post an issue where PowerPoint hangs while working with charts was discussed. A fix for this issue was originally planned for release as part of the August Cumulative Update. There were problems with the first fix.

Have you tried KB 981047 or KB 2028572 hotfix? Those are the latest hotfixes for PowerPoint.Anonymous

Your comment "especially with charts" concerns me. What else are you when you get a crash or hang? We hope to eventually have some fix for the copy/paste chart issue but if you're getting a crash without charts in the presentation then you should probably provide more information regarding what you did to invoke the crash/hang.Anonymous

This hotfix does help a great deal, but still does not solve the problem 100%. You can probably replicate... Open up two Powerpoint 2007 Presentations, both presentations should contain slides that have graphs on them, try copy and pasting entire slides of charts between the two. After about a minute or two of doing this over and over it should crash. Is there an updated fix for this?Anonymous

My users are having the same issues after applying Aug 09, Sep 09, Dec 09 powerpoint hotfixes. Still no joy. Powerpoint just keeps crashing especially with charts. Copying and pasting slides between powerpoint files trigger the crash. Any help is very much appreciated.Anonymous
