Phone interview with Jon Udell
Jon Udell called me up a week or two ago and asked me a bunch of questions about web history, IE and the HTML WG. I think it's actually broadly interesting, and for once I don't sound like a third grader on speed. Well, too much.

Mr Wilson, I've been trying to reach you or Mr David Massy. Please visit my IE7 bugs webpage (bug item #42) and, in particular, this page: http://www.gtalbot.org/BrowserBugsSection/MSIE7Bugs/InfiniteLoopIE7.html Gérard Talbot P.S.: I have no idea how to report IE7 bugs to IE dev. team <sigh> <grumble>Anonymous

Gérard, As posted on my old work blog at http://blogs.msdn.com/dmassy I recently left Microsoft so cannot directly assist you. I did quickly follow the link you posted on my vista machine at home though and do not repro a 100% CPU usage at all. That isn't to say there isn't an issue but clearly it shows that a lot of these issues are not always easy to repro. The support mechanisms outlined at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/iefaq.mspx are as always the best way to report issues. It's always a really good idea to explain exactly why you think an issue is "serious" as well rather than just stating it is :). A good justification will always help the team in evaluating issues. Thanks -DaveAnonymous
