Bread Baking issues resolved
Sorry - this is off topic - it was supposed to be posted to my personal blog. I hope you enjoy it anways :)
Fresh yeast has helped loads! I’ve baked bread twice in the last week. Perhaps it’s the feeling of hope or a return to normality.
I tried adding some roasted lentils to it and its turned out well! I’m super happy.
Ingredients:
- 250 g Dinkel / Spelt (a type of wheat)
- 50 g roasted lentils
- 200 g white flour
- 300 ml water (37 deg. Celcius)
- 10 g fresh yeast
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Recipe:
- 4 mins kneading in the Thermomix.
- 45 mins rest
- some kneading
- 20 mins more
- 30 mins baking in a gas oven at high temperature
Worked beautifully. It’s a modified recipe from one I found online. Will try and post a link to it another time.
