Lincoln Electric System heads to the Cloud with Orbit!

We have highlighted the work we are doing with Schneider Electric and especially the Orbit solution many times before. Earlier this week the news broke that Lincoln Electric System (LES) has selected Schneider Electric for Field-Based Asset Inspection and Management using Orbit.

As David Miller, Manager of Geospatial Technologies for LES says in the press release: “Orbit offered the most economical way for us to consistently handle additional field work processes without a lengthy or costly implementation”.

We see this as the wave of the future as Utilities large and small have the need to reduce costs, provide intuitive and easy to use device field solutions that can be implemented in a fraction of the time of traditional field inspection solutions. With the Orbit solution based on our cloud platform Azure, LES will begin capturing field data in a matter of days since Orbit is specifically designed to get utilities up-and-running quickly.
