It’s never easy to learn and completely understand a new technology – I know…and this is exactly the reason for today’s blog series! Ok, I have to admit, it’s a mini series :-)
Please find below my Top 10 Microsoft Virtual Academy online courses for beginners:
Part 1/2: Top 10 Online Courses for IT Beginners: IT Pro

And these are my Top 10 for Developers:

The above listed ten online courses are just a small selection of what the MVA has to offer. There are so many more online courses that deserve to show up in my Top 10 list. E.g. JavaScript Fundamentals for Absolute Beginners, Fundamentals of Lean Software Delivery Jump Start, Mobile Web Application Development, Quick Start Challenge: Sharing Data - XAML & openFrameworks and Developing 2D & 3D Games with Unity for Windows Jump Start. Unfortunately, a Top 10 list is limited to ten elements per se :-)
Microsoft Virtual Academy contains hundreds of online trainings – and counting! Among others, Developer related topics are Cloud Development, Mobile Development, Web Development, App Development and Game Development. Find a complete list of all developer courses in the Microsoft Virtual Academy.
We are publishing new courses several times a week! I recommend you to subscribe to the RSS-Feed for new MVA courses to get the latest updates right into your inbox. Please also have a look at the MVA Blog.
And of course, sometimes it seems even harder to keep up to speed with the technology of your choice – but let’s talk about that in a future blog post.
By the way: Happy new year and happy online learning with the Microsoft Virtual Academy!

Hi Jae, I would recommend to have a look at #1 and #4 to get a general overview of Software Development. #2 is a really good course to learn C#. Please let me know if you have more questions. - Anonymous
