- Announcing Refresh Support for Power BI Designer files in the Power BI service. This enables support for refreshing data, reports & dashboards coming from select data sources.
- Announcing SQL Server Management Studio – June 2015 Release
- SQL Server 2016 CTP 2.1 now available. In addition to the new CTP model, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is now being offered as a stand-alone install outside of the SQL Server release. This means Azure SQL database customers can use SSMS for the new features being released in cloud as well as their on-premises SQL Server. SSMS as a standalone tool will also follow the rapid preview model with frequent updates to keep pace with the new features being released in Azure SQL Database

- Microsoft Power BI Content Pack(SweetIQ) and Azure SQL Data Warehouse connector generally available
- Announcing the Limited Public Preview of Azure SQL Data Warehouse. The initial public preview will target data warehouses in the 5-10 TB range to give you the ability to start testing and providing feedback on the service. Participation in the preview will be limited based on capacity so customers will first request access to the preview and access will be approved based on availability.
- Azure Key Vault generally available. Key Vault enables you to store and control cryptographic keys and other secrets used by cloud applications
- Azure Active Directory Connect, the simple, fast and lightweight tool to connect Active Directory and Azure Active Directory in a few clicks is now generally available.
- Also generally available, Connect Health, will help monitor and gain insights into your identity infrastructure that is used to extend on-premises identities to Azure Active Directory and Office 365.

- Azure Application Gateway provides application-level routing and load balancing services to enable you to build a scalable and highly-available web frontend in Azure.
- MapR-based Hadoop data clusters will arrive on the Azure Marketplace this summer. When MapR is available in the Azure Marketplace, customers will be able to launch a full Hadoop cluster based on MapR as an Azure Virtual Machine with a few clicks.

Issue Alert
- Critical issue in SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 that could crash your SQL server
- Critical: Do NOT delete files from the Windows Installer folder. C:\windows\Installer is not a temporary folder and files in it should not be deleted. If you do it on machines on which you have SQL Server installed you may have to rebuild the operating system and reinstall SQL Server.
- Important: You must precede all Unicode strings with a prefix N when you deal with Unicode string constants in SQL Server
- Quick Issue Alert - WMF 4.0 installation on W2012 fails with 0x80096002 if W8 package is selected
- When you use a query that scans a clustered columnstore index in Microsoft SQL Server 2014, you may, under rare conditions, receive partial query results.
