Sync Services Hit Beta 2.0 Milestone
You might have heard about this already, but in case you did not, we have released the beta 2.0 bits as part of VS 2008 Beta 2.0. The runtime, documentation, and samples are all available for you to download at:
SQL Server Compact 3.5 B2 for Windows Desktop operating systems
SQL Server Compact 3.5 B2 for Windows Mobile
SQL Server Compact 3.5 Replication Server Tools
SQL Server Compact 3.5 Documentation
Sync Services for ADO.NET Documentation
We made quite a few changes in the latest drop to align with our future plans for enhancing sync services going forward. Also, one key feature was added which is batching. With batching capabilities, you can divide the large changes into small chunks and deliver them to your clients.
I’ve not updated the demo applications on my web site just yet. I am planning to work on this later this week and update all of you. Moreover, I will also have another sample to show off batching techniques. Stay tuned.
Update: Just to let you know, I left Microsoft to start a new company, Raveable Hotel Reviews.
