| A string store or binary store with a compatibility level of 1050 is at the maximum file size | The default 4 GB maximum has been reached for string storage in a dimension or partition. |
| An error occurred while starting the flight recorder | System resources are insufficient. |
| Attribute key cannot be found (Unicode blanks and collation differences between SSAS and the DB engine) | This is a common error that can occur under a variety of conditions. In this case, an attribute key cannot be found because what should be the matching value uses a different character for a space/blank, and SSAS doesn't recognize it as a match. |
| Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)) | This is the number one error on the Analysis Services forum (in terms of largest number of page views, at 107572 Views). This error is caused by the PivotTable Office Web Control (OWC), used for browsing cubes in the designer. The error occurs when the component fails to install, or the installation somehow became corrupted. The solution is to repair your "Microsoft Office 2003 Web Components" installation. On the forum, this post has been locked, most likely because the cause of the error (corrupted OWC control used in the pivottable browser) has been deprecated and removed from the product in recent releases. Of course, if you are using Analysis Services 2008 R2 or earlier, you might still run into it. |
