Windows 10 CTP Build 9926: Tweaking Booting Options After Upgrading

If you have upgraded to Windows 10 Technical  Preview Build 9926 from earlier OS (eg. Windows 7.1,Windows 8.1 or, Windows 10 Preview Build 9879) You will find the following booting options : Windows Technical Preview and Windows Rollback.

How to minimize the booting time:

Via msconfig:

In the Start Search write msconfig and press the Enter Key.

Click on Boot button you will get these two options. To minimize the booting delay I have put 3 seconds in Timeout box and clicked on OK or Apply.

Restart.

You can also change the timer from the booting screen also.

Via Command Prompt:

In the Start Search type in cmd

Tight click on Command Prompt and select run as administrator.

Type bcdedit /timeout 0 at the command prompt and hit ENTER

If you like to remove Windows Rollback option then try the followings:

Removing or, Renaming Windows.old Folder

Press Win + R keys to launch Run menu

Type in %systemdrive% in the blank space and hit the Enter Key.

Locate Windows.old folder and remove or rename it.

Via Disk Cleanup

You may select "Previous Windows Installations" option and remove it by running Disk Cleanup.

Wait for 28 days: The Windows .old folder will delete automatically after 28 days since Windows was installed.
