Windows 10 CTP: Windows Fax and Scan

To turn *Windows 10 CTP into a fax and scan machine you need to launch Windows Fax and Scan.

Steps for Fax

  1. Before launching make sure your PC is connected to a fax modem (or connected to a fax server) then it can send and receive documents just like a standalone device.

  2. Now launch the wizard by just type in WFS in Start Search box and press the Enter key.

  3. On the toolbar press New Fax and follow on screen instructions.

Steps for Scanner:

By attaching a scanner to your PC, you can also use Windows Fax and Scan to create digital copies of documents and photos. You can scan and fax your emails also.

Steps:

  1. Attach a scanner.

  2. Windows will automatically detect the scanner and update the driver, if not then you need to install the scanner driver.

  3. On the toolbar press New Scan.

  4. Choose your preferred scan settings.
