OneDrive Troubleshooting: Processing Changes

Overview

The OneDrive client in the notification are may frequently display a circle with arrows.  When hovering over the OneDrive icon, it will display "Processing Changes"

Users may state:

OneDrive never stops syncing.

Solution

Verify whether files are frequently updated in OneDrive.  If so, "Processing Changes" should be expected.  For example, if Outlook has a .pst file in the OneDrive folder, Outlook updates the .pst frequently and OneDrive will display "Processing Changes."
