Office suite programs like

  • Outlook

Issue

When you try to 

  • switch accounts 
  • open file services (like SharePoint or OneDrive)
  • connect new services

in any of the office programs you get an error message, and Office: 

  • fails to connect to your account,  
  • fails to present the office account login info

Troubleshooting

Restart office apps

Try restarting the apps and check your account settings again.

Update office apps

Update the office suite to the latest hotfix & patch version available.

Check network connection

Doublecheck if you can surf the internet.

Disable VPN

If you run a VPN, it's possible that the VPN solution blocks access to the *.microsoftonline-p.net URL.
