Remarks

XPathExpression provides access to compiled XPath expressions.

<table id="XPathExpression-evaluation" border="1" cellpadding="2"> <thead> <tr> <th colspan="2">Evaluation of XPath Expressions.</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr> <td>context</td> <td> If a request is made to evaluate the expression in the absence of a context item, an empty document node will be used for the context. For the purposes of evaluating XPath expressions, a DocumentFragment is treated like a Document node. </td> </tr> <tr> <td>variables</td> <td> If the expression contains a variable reference, its value will be found through the XPathVariableResolver. An XPathExpressionException is raised if the variable resolver is undefined or the resolver returns null for the variable. The value of a variable must be immutable through the course of any single evaluation.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>functions</td> <td> If the expression contains a function reference, the function will be found through the XPathFunctionResolver. An XPathExpressionException is raised if the function resolver is undefined or the function resolver returns null for the function.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>QNames</td> <td> QNames in the expression are resolved against the XPath namespace context. </td> </tr> <tr> <td>result</td> <td> This result of evaluating an expression is converted to an instance of the desired return type. Valid return types are defined in XPathConstants. Conversion to the return type follows XPath conversion rules.</p> </td> </tr> </table>

Properties

Handle

Gets the JNI value of the underlying Android object.

(Inherited from IJavaObject)
JniIdentityHashCode

Returns the value of java.lang.System.identityHashCode() for the wrapped instance.

(Inherited from IJavaPeerable)
JniManagedPeerState

State of the managed peer.

(Inherited from IJavaPeerable)
JniPeerMembers

Member access and invocation support.

(Inherited from IJavaPeerable)
PeerReference

Returns a JniObjectReference of the wrapped Java object instance.

(Inherited from IJavaPeerable)

Methods

Disposed()

Called when the instance has been disposed.

(Inherited from IJavaPeerable)
DisposeUnlessReferenced()

If there are no outstanding references to this instance, then calls Dispose(); otherwise, does nothing.

(Inherited from IJavaPeerable)
Evaluate(InputSource, QName)

Evaluate the compiled XPath expression in the context of the specified InputSource and return the result as the specified type.

Evaluate(InputSource)

Evaluate the compiled XPath expression in the context of the specified InputSource and return the result as a String.

Evaluate(Object, QName)

Evaluate the compiled XPath expression in the specified context and return the result as the specified type.

Evaluate(Object)

Evaluate the compiled XPath expression in the specified context and return the result as a String.

Finalized()

Called when the instance has been finalized.

(Inherited from IJavaPeerable)
SetJniIdentityHashCode(Int32)

Set the value returned by JniIdentityHashCode.

(Inherited from IJavaPeerable)
SetJniManagedPeerState(JniManagedPeerStates) (Inherited from IJavaPeerable)
SetPeerReference(JniObjectReference)

Set the value returned by PeerReference.

(Inherited from IJavaPeerable)
UnregisterFromRuntime()

Unregister this instance so that the runtime will not return it from future Java.Interop.JniRuntime+JniValueManager.PeekValue invocations.

(Inherited from IJavaPeerable)

Extension Methods

JavaCast<TResult>(IJavaObject)

Performs an Android runtime-checked type conversion.
