CloudAppendBlob.UploadFromByteArray Method

Definition

Uploads the contents of a byte array to an append blob. If the blob already exists, it will be overwritten. Recommended only for single-writer scenarios.

[Microsoft.Azure.Storage.DoesServiceRequest]
public virtual void UploadFromByteArray (byte[] buffer, int index, int count, Microsoft.Azure.Storage.AccessCondition accessCondition = default, Microsoft.Azure.Storage.Blob.BlobRequestOptions options = default, Microsoft.Azure.Storage.OperationContext operationContext = default);
[<Microsoft.Azure.Storage.DoesServiceRequest>]
abstract member UploadFromByteArray : byte[] * int * int * Microsoft.Azure.Storage.AccessCondition * Microsoft.Azure.Storage.Blob.BlobRequestOptions * Microsoft.Azure.Storage.OperationContext -> unit
override this.UploadFromByteArray : byte[] * int * int * Microsoft.Azure.Storage.AccessCondition * Microsoft.Azure.Storage.Blob.BlobRequestOptions * Microsoft.Azure.Storage.OperationContext -> unit
Public Overridable Sub UploadFromByteArray (buffer As Byte(), index As Integer, count As Integer, Optional accessCondition As AccessCondition = Nothing, Optional options As BlobRequestOptions = Nothing, Optional operationContext As OperationContext = Nothing)

Parameters

buffer
Byte[]

An array of bytes.

index
Int32

The zero-based byte offset in buffer at which to begin uploading bytes to the blob.

count
Int32

The number of bytes to be written to the blob.

accessCondition
AccessCondition

An AccessCondition object that represents the condition that must be met in order for the request to proceed.

options
BlobRequestOptions

A BlobRequestOptions object that specifies additional options for the request. If null, default options are applied to the request.

operationContext
OperationContext

An OperationContext object that represents the context for the current operation.

Remarks

Use this method only in single-writer scenarios. Internally, this method uses the append-offset conditional header to avoid duplicate blocks, which may cause problems in multiple-writer scenarios. If you have a single-writer scenario, see AbsorbConditionalErrorsOnRetry to determine whether setting this flag to true is acceptable for your scenario. To append data to an append blob that already exists, see AppendFromByteArray(Byte[], Int32, Int32, AccessCondition, BlobRequestOptions, OperationContext).
