Depending on your decision to upgrade to either Business Central online or on-premises, different scenarios are supported. Read the upgrade considerations, and then revise the supported scenarios in the respective sections. If you cannot find guidance for your migration scenario, you can check at the Ideas site if someone else has already suggested support for the same migration path.
