Set up substance categories

Substance categories are groupings of similar substances that your organization tracks to measure environmental impact. Use the Substance categories form to add new categories.

Set up a substance category

  1. Click Compliance and internal controls > Setup > Environmental sustainability > Substance categories.

  2. In the Substance categories form, click New to create a new category.

  3. Enter a name and a brief description for the substance category and then select a substance category type.

  4. Select a color to represent the substance category in the process map. For more information about the process map, see View a process flow map.

Delete a substance category

  1. Click Compliance and internal controls > Setup > Environmental sustainability > Substance categories.

  2. In the Substance categories form, select the category that you want to delete, and then click Delete.

Note

A substance category cannot be deleted if a substance is assigned to it.
