Deletes a user's emailAuthenticationMethod object.

For delegated scenarios where an admin is acting on another user, the administrator needs at least the Authentication Administrator or Privileged Authentication Administrator Microsoft Entra role.

HTTP request

Delete the email method from your own account. For a signed-in user to update their own authentication method, they must have satisfied a multi-factor authentication requirement during sign in.

DELETE /me/authentication/emailMethods/{id}

Delete the email authentication method from another user's account.

DELETE /users/{id | userPrincipalName}/authentication/emailMethods/{id}

Request body

Don't supply a request body for this method.

Response

If successful, this method returns a 204 No Content response code. It doesn't return anything in the response body.
