Overview

Agriculture Data Solutions, currently known as Azure Data Manager for Agriculture, is a key component of Microsoft Fabric which offers specialized data connectors tailored for the agriculture industry. These connectors facilitate the integration of various data sources, enabling organizations to access high-quality datasets and accelerate the development of digital agriculture solutions.

With the introduction of the 2024 release wave 2, new enhancements are being introduced to the agriculture-specific Common Data Model, providing increased flexibility and extensibility for customers to manage diverse data types relevant to digital agriculture. This wave also includes the integration of all Microsoft data connectors, previously available with Azure Data Manager for Agriculture, into Fabric. Additionally, the copilot template for agriculture is being upgraded with extra plugins utilizing Azure Open AI, broadening the scope of its capabilities.

Azure Data Manager for Agriculture connects and unifies farm data from disparate sources so that organizations can develop solutions that power agriculture insights. It extends the Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform with industry-specific data connectors and capabilities so developers can use data from satellites, soil sensors, farming equipment, and weather providers. Instead of devoting resources to data management, organizations can accelerate product innovation with the ability to use readily available, high-quality, and abundant data.
