Displaying Pages in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV SharePoint Client
Microsoft Dynamics NAV Portal Framework enables you to display Microsoft Dynamics NAV pages on Microsoft SharePoint sites. There are two ways to display pages:
In application pages by using a Uniform Resource Locator URL.
To display the page, you can type the URL directly in the address of a web browser or use it to create links to the page from other SharePoint pages.
For more information, see Displaying Pages in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV SharePoint Client by Using URLs and Understanding Application Pages in Microsoft Dynamics NAV Portal Framework.
In Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web Parts.
You can display a Microsoft Dynamics NAV page by adding a Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web Part to a SharePoint Web Part page or dashboard on your SharePoint site. Unlike SharePoint application pages, using Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web Parts lets you customize the page on a site-by-site basis. Like other Web Parts in SharePoint, you can change the appearance of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web Part, such as adding titles and changing size. You can also add more Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web Parts to display other pages, and then connect the Web Parts to set up interaction, such as data transfer and filtering.
For more information, see How to: Display a Microsoft Dynamics NAV Page in a Web Part and Connecting Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web Parts to Other Web Parts.
