Design a Role Center page when you are building a RoleTailored experience for a certain user profile. For a given user profile, the Role Center page must provide an overview of business performance, and information about what to attend to first.

Role Center guidelines

From the user’s perspective, the following are qualities of a well-designed Role Center page:

  • Has contents and presentation style that is optimized for a specific user profile

  • Gives a quick overview of business performance via Cues or business charts

  • Shows data that is live and that the user can drill to see details

  • Helps the user prioritize what to attend to first, and makes it easy to start frequent tasks

  • Organizes the navigation pane with list places and associated views in activity-oriented sets
