Live Communications Server Applications

Live Communications Server applications consist of application manifests with embedded Microsoft SIP Processing Language (MSPL) message filter scripts and optional server agent components. For an application to successfully receive SIP messages from the Live Communications Server, it must be registered with a corresponding instance of the MSFT_SIPApplicationSetting WMI class.

For more information about registering an application with Live Communications Server, see Registering a SIP Application with Live Communications Server.

When an instance of MSFT_SIPApplicationSetting is created for a registered application, a corresponding instance of MSFT_SIPApplicationElement, which uniquely identifies the application, is also created. This class also provides a way to determine if the application is running or not.

The MSFT_SIPApplicationPriorityList class defines the order in which applications are executed whenever a SIP message is received. For more information about determining application execution order, see Managing a SIP Application on Live Communication Server.
